Background

Our firm formed on January 1, 1997 when three CPAs, Al Bisceglia, Dick Steiman and Jon Fudeman, together with their respective staffs, merged their individual practices to form our partnership. Each of the partners had substantial experience and long-term client relationships before the merger. This structure affects the way our firm serves clients even today. A client works primarily with one CPA, and a professional but personal relationship forms between them. We received a positive peer review in 2008. Bisceglia, Steiman & Fudeman, LLP's expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as audits, financial statements, and financial planning.

Our Team

Albert L. Bisceglia

Al is a partner and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bentley College and went on to earn a Master’s of Science degree in Finance (MSF) and Masters of Science degree in Taxation (MST), also from Bentley College. Al is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).

Al has more than 30 years of public accounting experience. He has extensive experience on audits of not-for-profit and governmental agencies receiving federal and state assistance, litigation support services including expert witness testimony, business valuation, working with individuals, families and closely-held businesses on business succession planning and tax compliance.

Al is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Al has been active in community affairs including terms as president and treasurer at Friendly House and as past treasurer and audit committee member of the Central Massachusetts Chapter of the Red Cross.

Jon Fudeman

Jon is a partner and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). In addition to his business practice, Jon has worked with numerous law firms in the areas of litigation support and forensic accounting and has testified at numerous trials. He assists businesses with profit improvement. Jon began his accounting career in 1973 with the Big Eight accounting firm Arthur Young in New York but transferred to the Worcester office soon after. After receiving his CPA certificate, he worked in various positions at Nypro, a plastics manufacturing company, but returned to public accounting with Main Hurdman, another large accounting firm. In 1985 he started his own practice, merging in 1997 to form Bisceglia, Steiman and Fudeman. He has published professionally and taught at local colleges.

Jon is a graduate of Rutgers University and an army veteran, having served in Belgium in connection with NATO. He is married with four children and has lived in Princeton since 1978. <

Richard Steiman

Dick is a partner and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). In addition to his business practice, Dick is also a Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS) and assists financial planners and their high income self-employed clients with young children plan for college through income tax savings.

Dick's practice is mostly the small business client from startup on, covering all tax and accounting aspects. He also has a broad individual tax practice. His wife, Sherry, assists Dick in all aspects of bookkeeping and QuickBooks. Sherry is very knowledgeable with the QuickBooks program and also sets up and trains clients in the use of QuickBooks.

Dick is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He served in the Army as an officer in the Signal Corp, stationed in New Mexico. He lives and works out of his home in Arizona.

Harry Hough

Harry is a partner and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Assumption College and is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).

Harry has 25 years of public accounting experience with extensive experience on audits, reviews and compilations of small closely-held businesses including corporations, LLC’s, partnerships and not-for-profits. Harry also has significant experience with audits of not-for-profit and governmental agencies receiving federal and state assistance along with the related tax filings for all types of entities, individual, corporate and not-for-profit.

Harry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, Business Networking International (BNI) and Wachusett Country Club.

Harry has been active in community affairs including volunteer work at the Oxford Food Shelf. Harry resides with his wife and two daughters in Oxford.

Marilyn O'Brien

Marilyn is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Assumption College and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) also from Assumption College.

Marilyn has more than 14 years of public accounting experience. She has experience in individual, corporate, partnership and not-for-profit income taxes, audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements for corporations, partnerships and not-for-profit entities and client support for QuickBooks, Peachtree, and MYOB software.

Marilyn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Marilyn resides with her husband and son in Shrewsbury.

Angela Dolan

Angela is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bentley College and went on to earn a Master’s of Science in Taxation (MST), also from Bentley College.

Angela has more than 8 years of public accounting experience. She has experience in individual, corporate, large partnership and not-for-profit income taxes, audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements for corporations and not-for-profit entities and employee benefit plans and client support for accounting systems.

Angela is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Robert Thompson

Rob is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fitchburg State College.

Rob has more than 13 years of public accounting experience. He has experience on audits of not-for-profit and governmental agencies receiving federal and state assistance, audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements for corporations, partnerships and not-for-profit entities and individual, corporate, partnership and not-for-profit income taxes, and client support for accounting systems.

Rob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a past treasurer of the George Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg.

Rob resides with his wife and two daughters in Rutland.

Josiane Marjault

Josiane is the administrative backbone of our firm and has been with the firm since 1997. Her friendly voice and professionalism greets you on the phone and when you visit our office. Josiane’s ability to manage the office is exceptional. She was born in France but has been in America for many years and brings an international flavor to our firm.

Josiane helps keep our office organized, makes sure tax returns and financial statements are assembled and presented to our clients in a professional manner and helps with the Document Management Systems (paperless office project).

Josiane is married and lives in Worcester with her husband and has two grown children and two grandchildren.

Judy McQuiston

Judy has more than 40 years of accounting experience and worked in several accounting positions including the position of controller. She attended the University of Massachusetts. Judy began working with Jon Fudeman in 1986 and has been with the firm since inception.

She has experience with individual, corporate, partnership and not-for-profit income taxes, as well as audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements for corporations and partnerships and client support for accounting systems.

Judy is married and lives in Douglas with her husband and has one grown son.

Carol Dancause

Carol is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fitchburg State College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Ball State University.

Carol has more than 14 years of public accounting experience. She has experience in audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements for corporations, partnerships and not-for-profit entities and individual, corporate, partnership and not-for-profit income taxes, and client support for accounting systems.

Carol is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Yankee Golden Retriever Club.

Carol resides with her husband and two golden retrievers in Lunenburg.
